Yes, there was a NASCAR related model of the UPS "Package Car" (I think that is official UPS terminology) in at least two paint styles, the one John shows and one with flames on the side (both correct, although the flame logo was pretty rare in the real world).
Matchbox has had a couple of "modern" postal vans over the years. There has not been a pre-1980s Post Office vehicle to my knowledge. There have been trucks made with REA graphics, like vans in Bill's photos. Some are correct, others not so much. There has not been a model of a standard REA delivery van in S (there are three in HO and on in O scale). Vic Roseman had an article on building these "cowl-length" vans in Model Railroading in 2003. The article is available on-line here: http://www.trainlife.com/magazines/pages/166/12049/december-2003-page-43 and includes info on building them in S as well as HO and other scales. Pieter E. I think they were originally only available through the UPS company store, and are now EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY hard to find. I bought the ONLY one I was ever able to find. See attachments.
