Thank you guys for all the help.

I've been reading your replies on my phone while on my breaks at work but,
since I've been refurbishing a house over the last two weeks, in addition to my
two normal jobs, I simply haven't had the chance to reply. Since the rain
foiled our plans for today, I finally have the chance to reply.

I'm hoping to finish my first trunk this Tuesday (when I only work 1 job) and
possibly start attaching the branches.

One idea I've come up with is to insert a brass tube into the bottom of the
trunk and put a larger brass tube in the module so that I could repeatedly
remove the tree without damaging the module as I suspect the toothpick and
styrofoam technique would.

I'll try to post pictures soon.
