Not to be a nay-sayer... but there is a HUGE (Hey, I spelled it right this 
time!) difference between what "IS" available now and what "WAS" once 
available.  I quote your earlier comment to make my point - "As I look back 
over what's been made available during my almost 30 years involvement in S 
Scale, there's been a phenominal amount of equipment and supplies made 
availble."  So I think one of the big problems in S is the "That was then, this 
is now" syndrome.  Another part of the issue is the QUANTITY that these 
products were made in.  If what WAS once available is no longer available and 
is very hard to find, it really doesn't count for much to the newcomer.  As a 
case-in-point, I have been looking for two UNDEC SHS F-3 locos, and they were 
only made... ... how recently?  I forget what year they were released...
