I understand completely. It's only 6" too wide, but an O scale model just doesn't look "right" on the wide track. The proportion is off by a half-foot... and it IS noticeable to some. That was another reason I was smitten with S scale: No such gauge issue. The larger trains look soooo good on scale sized rail. Shucks, I keep this up... and I'm gonna' talk myself into working on an S scale project.... ...nahhhh. Yup, no wide gauge in S. The only issues with S that I've learned is: * Nobody makes what I want when I want it at the price I want. * Lionel is of the devil. * Mike Wolf is the antichrist. * Hi-railers aren't doing it right. * Scale railers are nit-pickers * You ain't poop if'n you don't do it my way. * Fill in the blank. :-) Andre Ming
