I've put all my prior passenger car photos plus several new shots of
some of the UP business cars I shot a very long time ago. Everyone
please stand for the song "Kodachrome" by Simon and Garfunkel! All the
shots are all contained in the photos section labeled Streamlined
Passenger cars.
You can see the roof seams and rivets that Jamie has mentioned. A
couple of the shots do show the string of underbody attachments. It's
possible and indeed likely these cars have received post Amtrak
updates. It appears that the Dorm/Baggage has a large roof hatch added
for inserting a diesel generator. I hope they are of some use. For one
thing the UP does treat it's heritage cars nicely.
There is one shot of an observation that was the prototype for the
American Models older streamlined car. It's been know to wear a variety
of paint schemes. I'm not certain who owns it presently but it was once
owned by Grant Supply a local company. Notice that it does have a
Pennsy like antenna running along the roof peak.
