NCE makes a block detector and Wayne Roderick founder of the Teton Short Line
made a 3 color signal system that has been in use sence 1967. You will have to
make your own signal mast.

Subject: {S-Scale List} Recommending FUNCTIONING signals

Could any of you recommend signals, both crossing signals and railroad signals,
that look `S' scale and have functional lighting?

There's a HO club near me that has signals that are controlled from a central
computer system and are actually used to direct the `engineers' and the trains
they're running.  I'm not looking for anything nearly this advanced.

I figure the engineers can set their own mainline signals, using toggle
switches, and tie the switch signals to the switches.

As for the crossing signals, I'd want to set up some sort of tripwire system by
which the approaching train sets off the signal.  Since my club's layout is
DCC, this tripwire would have to work with DCC.

Finally, to avoid interference with any hi-cube equipment, I'm looking to avoid
signal towers that bridge the rails.

Thank you in advance for your recommendations.
