Hi Bill;

Wow - strong start for a first scratch building effort! I have certainly made
worse....

The amusing part is that compared to the sides, those composite ends would not
not have been too hard. Neatly cutting out the center of the AM door !? I think
that falls into the "only slightly harder than scratch" category, but many of
us have been there too.

Really nice work. Ready to do the X23 boxcars and R7 reefers? All basically the
same design.

Tom,  When compared to the real thing the shortcomings of my models are
instantly obvious. It is an early car without much steel used to make it.  I
have yet another K7a built for Larry Sokol by an unknown custom builder. It is
really good and much more correct but it is oh SO light… UGH! I was eyeing it
this morning to see how and where I could add weight to it without killing it.
The car is completely sealed. It is back in the box because I did not have an
idea hit me. I am probably going to add that car to my page this week.  Thank
You,
Bill Lane
