Ed, I (like to) think I have a pretty good idea on how Lionel operates, but the
wheels issues is pretty frustrating.

Let's use the U33C as an example: First, scale wheels included. Second, scale
wheels not included, but email for a set, no charge. Third, scale wheel
versions available separately. Fourth, no scale wheel option (apparently.)

I'm more than willing to withstand the slings and arrows flung at me when I
bring up and defend the potential of scale Flyer if there is something
consistant to stand for.

You may want to mention (from my perception) that blind brand loyalty DO NOT
exist in S Scale as it does in the 3-rail O Gauge world.

You may also want to mention that from the outside looking in, it appears that
Marketing doesn't talk to Engineering that doesn't talk to Manufacturing ans
vice versa. I see examoples of this on the O gauge side all of the time. When
a quetion is asked about decoration or a feature, the response is usually
something like "We won't know until we see one here."

Doesn't somebody over at Lionel Corporate actually have approval on features or
decoration? It sure doesn't seem like it at times. It seems like somebody
just sits back in their comfy chair and says "Make it, I don't care what it is
or how it looks. If we build it, they will buy it regardless."

Sorry for the rant, Ed, but I'm sure I'm not the only one out here getting
frustrated. If you can diplomatically bring up some of these issues at lunch,
please do do.
