Is there any special consideration needed for painting a flat pewter locomotive 
compared to brass or plastic?  Thank you.

I built one back around 1991. It is a flat pewter kit. As I recall, 
parts were sharp and only needed a light touch with a file to get a good 
fit. I used epoxy for assembly. The Athearn drive mod was simple and 
resulted in a nice loco. I think I did a review of it for Ed's mag.
