Pieter.
I wish any and all on this list who are in the path of Sandy good luck.  She's
taking aim on me but I suspect the the Eastern Seaboard will take most of her
punch away by the time she hits the lower Great Lakes.
The Lionel thread has really tested my patience over the last few days.  This
will be my only remark on the matter.  I do use my "delete" button a lot on
threads that annoy me or are of no use to me, but having to delete 200 messages
on a single topic which seemingly resolves nothing is, quite simply,
over-the-top.
Alan has been singled ou,t but there are other equal offenders and they know
who they are.  State your points and get out.  If they are valid,, they
shouldn't have to be
defended or explained.  The back-and-forthing with one-liners just wastes time
and space.
It bothers me that one of our own,  passed away a few days ago but was barely
noticed. What did his family receive, four or five condolences out of a list of
how many modelers? Surely he was better known than that.  It seems too many on
this list were too busy obsessing over flange sizes to pull their heads out of
their butts long enough to offer some comfort to the Jackson family.  Sad!

Geez, you all are worrying these topics like a dog gnawing an old bone.
Some are really typing up a storm, no pun intended.

Between the mass of messages and Yahoo hiccups (I see replies hours before the
the original post, and two or three repeats of some posts) it is becoming
impossible to keep up with you all.
