You're absolutely right. I had started composing a few comments on Bob in
my head, hadn't yet got to send anything.
I considered Bob a friend of mine. We comunicated a lot, saw each other at
conventions, fests &c, and we were both odd fish in that we were older
modellers of the modern era. I stopped and visited him & his layout on the
way back from one of St Louis events, I forget which one. He was running
modern equipment including double-stack cars, one of which had a "BBC Box,"
that I had furnished him.
Texas Bob showed up as I was about to leave and started setting up to take
pictures. I trust they're still in the can somewere and that we'll see them
some day.
