Keith:
Easy for you to say!  I for one could use some pointers, "how to's" and do's 
and don't's for cutting with a razor saw and obtaininng a smooth square edge.   
Seems most of my similar projects result in way too much work and aggravation 
to clean up and hide those edges when bringing cut seams back together.

Any modeling tips or photo steps would be greatly appreciated!
