BAR 10000-10399 were purchased from ACF in 1957. A small handful of additional cars showed up in 1962-3 (8 cars) and again in 1965 (9 cars.) Prototype photos of 10368 and 10405 appear in the "Northern New England Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment." The only difference I notice on a quick look at the pictures is that the prototype had a tabbed side sill; the model's is straight. That would be a simple enough change that would not even mar the factory paint job if one cared to modify it. I can't tell if the door is 8'; it may be wider.
