The American Models BAR State of Maine cars have been out of stock as long as I've been in S. I think I've finally collected enough of them on the used market, plus the new SSA cars and a couple of SHS specials to have a good representation. Even in the 80s you couldn't pass a yard of any size in Maine that didn't have a bunch of them. They were so different from the run of the mill that even if there only a few they were all I remember seeing. Ed Kozlowsky Sanford, Maine sscale.org

A few modifications (notched sidesill, charcoal heater and ventilator controls) will get you close to prototype appearance. >http://www.americanmodels.com/_photos/2220.jpg >http://www.americanmodels.com/_photos/2227.jpg >http://www.vistadome.com/trains/rs/bangor_aroostook.jpg >http://images.yuku.com.s3.amazonaws.com/image/pjpeg/91f36f98246301c6ae61f177d8e47b23f6b0905f.pjpg >The scheme also appeared on BAR 50 foot PS-1s: >http://images.yuku.com.s3.amazonaws.com/image/pjpeg/52f36d00270708afa616feb1d76675f9ff582561.pjpgStan Stokrocki >
