Howdy y'all,
I've been looking for some turnout tie plates like those used by Trevor
Marshall on his Port Rowan layout. I contacted Trevor and the bits he used are
not commercially available.
Doing an internet search, I found a manufacturer who would be willing to make
these parts for a cost between $18-$24 per turnout, depending on turnout
length. It will be three months before these will be available. I'm working
with code 83 rail, but I'm sure larger and smaller rail sizes could be
accommodated.
What I'm wondering: How many of you guys would like to purchase this product?
Please let me know how many sets you would want (no monetary commitment
required). I'm sure if the demand is there that these will get made...perhaps
even on a faster schedule!
