I don't think I'll have to worry about any sceni-genies, in any case. I found a broken wire in the cable to the RIX throttle, now, so I have something else to occupy my time while I wait.
In the meantime, I went over to the Terminal District and turned FA-2 #50B and put FB-2 #52B behind it to line them up for an outbound train. I did this using the turntable throttle and the new GML throttle #4. The turntable uses the locking pin I described on the site yesterday. It is completely manual and serves its purpose very well. It reminds me a little of the locking pins the bridgetender at Keokuk uses when he closes the swing bridge there for rail traffic. That was quite a sight, to actually look "UP" at a tow of barges in the lock as we went across the bridge. I tried to photograph it a few times, I think I may have gotten one or two good shots.
