Hi Roger --

Me too! The Taurus ladders are only a pinned fit to the end sills so I can
remove the roof for interior detailing, marker lamp lighting (another someday
project) and paint. Next on my rather lengthy list of things to do is get
some more paint from Scalecoat so I can paint the cabeese and diseasels.

I used medium CA on my SU double sheathed USRA box many years ago, and it is
still in one piece (AND unpainted—I REALLY have to get going on my painting!).
I also have several F&C kits via Central Hobby Supply that were started
using medium CA, but whose construction was halted by the move to AZ. What
was done almost 10 years ago is still in good condition... I also have a Rio
Grande Models dual gauge coupler car that thin CA was used to build the pot
metal frame more than 20 years ago, and those joints are still good enough that
you will bend the metal before breaking the glue joint. I don't think anyone
has to worry about the lifetime of a good (clean) CA glue joint made with fresh
glue.

Have fun!

Bill,

Very nice job on the SU caboose. I look forward to seeing it painted in SL&P.
I like the Taurus ladders.
I also used super glue on my SU DS box car, and it has held up for 15+ years as
well.
