The issue, in my mind, is that Lionel and MTH are following the pre-order
business model WITHOUT informing me/us of that in their catalogs or email
messages or anything else. The brass importers are very good at informing us
of that including how many more are needed to achieve a GO for the project.
I have no problem with the pre-order arrangement. But I think it should be
openly explained so that new customers know of that strategy in advance instead
of learning about it afterwards.
The problem is not the business model itself. The problem is not telling
anyone about it.
