Tank cars becomes the most appealing cars for me right now, I model the 30’s
and going through the (Canadian) private own cars pictures available on-line of
this era, I start to realise how much differences there could be between each
cars, even between the same type and series, It is almost like steam
locomotives. I’m not as much knowledgeable as some on this list but it looks
like there might be a possibility to start from a standard 3 courses tank (a
DPH or a Drake, regardless of the capacity) and make up for many variation
using rivets strip decals from Archer is possible.

I'd be happy if Mr. Jackman had made a passable dome top instead of copying the
ancient Varney car. Also two-rung corner steps, to match the very common GATX
design.

I'll be happy to add to the deluge of mail requesting the Type 21 in S.

Hi Earl --

Even though I have way too many tank cars (somewhere over 20), I agree that a
type 21 would be a great thing to add to the group (it is what Larry Jackman
should have done). I will send an email...

Have fun!

On to my next Lionel thought. Over on the P48 yahoo list, some images of a new
Lionel O scale ACF Type 21 8000
gallon tank car have just been shared. My first thought was, hey, if we sent in
a huge amount of mail, S scale could
have that car this year! What a great addition to available offerings! Care to
join on encouraging such a product?
