Well Butch, 

I've got both the Lionel/Flyer Challenger and Y3 for my HiRail follies, and 
both run very well.  In fact, I think the Y3 may run a little better. 

Operationally, I'd put both of them up there with AM or SHS.

And yes, it's great watching the engines go in and out of sync.
