I just finished reading the latest issue of TRAINS (free on loan from a buddy) 
and noticed an article on Grand Central Terminal.  The mag states a total of 
585 trains per day counting both arrivals and departures.  At the peak rush 
hour, the figure was 63 trains per hour.

Granted commuter trains all tend to look alike, but the numbers are still 
rather amazing -- at least to me.
