In 1965 I moved to a small town in California near Disneyland.  It was common 
to see farmers using horses pulling plows on their fields at that time.  I 
believe, in this area, most of the farmers were of Japanese heritage.  The area 
near the intersection (now a monster cloverleaf) of the Newport Freeway and San 
Diego freeway always had farms with horses hard at work.  Ed Loizeaux
