Hi Trevor....
"S"peaking of the Canadien Guys (I'm French, heritagewise....), I was wondering
of someone from up your way could tell me which of the Lionel cylindrical
hoppers are authentic and if any of them are pure fantasy? In particular, I
have an eye on the maroon CANADA (CPWX) paint job. Also, the green
SASKATCHEWAN and multi-colored "Lifesaver" CN paint schemes and blue ALBERTA?
Are these all for real? Or is Lionel taking advantage of my ignorance? Olde
tymers are easy to fool.
Being an American, I figure the UP version with the red, white & blue flag is
authentic. At least patriotic if nothing else. I presume all the NS Heritage
series cylindrical hoppers are fictitious. Right?
I sure wouldn't want the wrong kind of cylindrical hopper running next to my
PBL Shay. Folks would shake their heads.......
Cheers...Ed L.
