We all had expectations of what Lionel and MTH would bring to the table. As is
apparent by comments on this topic some were realized and some were not. If I
were a Hi-Rail operator I'd be delighted..but I'm a scale modeler.
The bottom line is we have many new products in "S" that only a few years ago
no one anticipated, so I now agree we need to give the mfg's some space and see
what they do with it. You can't please all the people all the time so the scale
guys will need to see what happens in the evolution of Lionel and MTH products.
We still have tons of stuff on the secondary market including PRS kits, SHS &
AM locos and rolling stock plus others, so nothing has been taken away from us.
And we have new kit-bashing material at the very least from Lional and MTH.
Isn't this pretty much the way its been for the scale modeler all along?
