Hi Bill --

They are not the same level of detail as the SHS reefers, but they are
otherwise a decent car. They are wood sided, steel straight panel roof
and dreadnaught ends. I reset the ladders and roof walk to a more
appropriate distance from the car surface (closer) which was easy enough to
do. The grab irons are cast on, as are the stirrup steps. Underbody
detail is spartan, with (half) cast on brake cylinder and triple valve, the
air reservoir is a separate item. Coupler height is no issue – I mounted
the Kadee 802s in their own box directly to the floor. The trucks appear
to be SHS or similar design. “S”omeday, I will probably carve off the grab
irons and replace them with wire...

There is a photo of my Swift version in the NASG website products section
under reefers and Swift.

Hope this helps!

I never bought any of the Crown Models cars. Are they comparable to SHS? Is
changing to scale the same effort as SHS? Is the correct coupler height
easily achieved?

Thank You,
