Howdy all. I was looking at getting some decals from Greg Komar before he
closes up shop at the end of next month. I have never painted or decaled a
railroad model before. Since there are hardly any models for the Missouri
Pacific I need to learn. Mr Komar sells his decals as dry transfer or
wetslimy(as he calls them). He did send me a detailed email on how to apply
the wet decails if I decide to go that route. I was wondering what the
preference for decals were among the group members. Being a beginner, which
type would be easier to learn with. Do dry transfer or wet decals look better
when the model is finished? Are there other companies that make wet decals? I
read from another thread that many folks are cleaning out their old decals. Do
decals get old? Must they be used in a certain time after printing? Is there a
good reffernce book available for painting and decaling? Thank you in advance
for your help and answers.
