Regarding contest room lighting: One of the previous NASG conventions (I think 2007, but not 100% sure) developed a nice set of lights for lighting the contest models. Built on 8' sections of half round (cut lengthwise) large diameter white PVC to provide the light reflector. Worked pretty well I thought. They were passed on to the Bristol Club for the 2008 convention and we passed them on to the next convention. I am not sure where they are now. But I thought it was nice that nice models got better lighting...
