Thanks Dave: I called Railmaster Hobbies last night for more info Turns out the 4-4-0 and companion 2-6-0 are both narrow gauge engines, thus not exactly correct for what I have in mind.
I guess the next thing is a truckload of elbow grease to see if Bachamnn might be interested. If not, I may have to see if I can get someone to "S"tandard gauge an 0n30 4-4-0 or 2-6-0 for me. I understand that at one time, someone (Grandt Line?)offered a conversion kit for the purpose I have an 0n30 2-6-0 I picked up on Ebay for size comparison. It would make a great S scale 2-6-0. I also just snagged Tyco 4-8-0, but haven't received it yet. Ideas on replacing the missing smokestack are welcome boB Nicholson __________________________________________________ --- In [email protected], "David Heine" <davesn3@...> wrote: > > boB, > > There is a picture plus my description of the kit and my comments on > building it in the June 2001 issue of the NASG Dispatch so this is a project > I did over twelve years ago.
