Hi:
Hey guys, not all products made for the S gauge market need to
be "scale". Some sturdy, "kid compatible", entry priced rolling
stock seems like a great idea to me. Team these up with a repainted
Atlantic for $30-$40 and some K-Line track, an MRC or other
transformer and you've got a great Christmas set for your grandkids.
And it'll run for 20 years. I'd list the new baldwin locos as the
motive power but that throws the set out of the "entry priced"
little kid set that i have in mind.

If you want "prototypically correct" stuff there's lots of good
equipment available. And, as i've read here in the past, if you want
to kitbash these things into a more realistic "scale" appearance you
can do so, though for my money i'd just as soon make it from scratch
or buy a scale kit.

Have some fun guys/gals,
43' of opinion,
Ted
