Removing paint from A.F. equipment. Some plastics will strip with
Scalecote paint remover, some use brake fluid I wouldn't. Best method is
a 50% mixture of strong detergent, Pine-sol, Mr. Clean, etc,etc, & water
in a large sealable tank ( tupper ware ) and soak for a long time. I have
soaked shells up to a year, takes time, but it didn't harm the plastic.
Plastic used in hand cars and frontier locos. is very allergic to
petroleum distillates use plastic compatible paints.
