Assuming that the s3ql_passphrase object got corrupted (rather than an
incorrect passphrase being entered into S3QL), you can try to use of of
the backups (s3ql_passphrase_bakXXX).
If that doesn't help either, you could fall back on the master key that
has been printed by mkfs.s3ql (or, if the file system is very old, by
one of the more recent 's3qladm upgrade' procedures).
