Thanks :-)

I see your point. And I very much hope I will learn to do this
quicker, but currently this is more like 5 minutes for me each
time. Part of it is extracting a useful comment from the log. It
certainly is different for someone who is constantly logged in into
the trac server. Also, this means you need to be online, whereas
renaming patches can be done offline, and you then just need an
instantaneous online window to run an pull -u/push (e.g. what you get
after arriving home and before bringing the girls to the bath :-))

Too simplistic indeed; sorry if I have been misleading. Of course a
real review should occur. That's why there is a step between -final
and -reviewed. And the person doing this step shall be responsible for
having done a complete review, including design and so on. I just
wanted to point out that we did not run in the problem of having a
patch just lie there for long period of time without any
application/doctest as could be the case on the trac server.

YES. I am very glad Mike did this at the beginning to bootstrap the
sage-combinat community, but this is definitely not his job (if
besides his thesis work he has time to offer to sage-combinat I'd for
example rather have him concentrate on design and integration issues
with the rest of Sage).
Cheers,
Nicolas
