I'm personally not affiliated to any university now, so any such request would
have to come from an academic institution, and the terms and conditions would
have to allow use by non institutional users. That might be very difficult to get.
I was once a member of one of the IBM academic initiatives and got the operating
system and compilers free of charge. As I said earlier, I do have an old IBM
machine, but it is too slow for Sage development and consumes too much power to
run 24/7.
If William wanted Sage on AIX, then I think it would be better if he approached
IBM. I would not at all be surprised if they did not give him a server free.
I got sent my details of the new AIX machine, so Minh should get them too if he
drops them a reminder.
