Yes, you can! "It's all text" for firefox seems to do a pretty good
job. It keeps watching the file it uses to give the text to the
editor, so when you save in the editor, the textarea gets updated
automatically! It seems to work quite well with cells in the notebook.
You still need to press "shift-enter" of course, and the red line next
to the cell does not reappear to remind you if you haven't done so.

It's definitely an option to keep in mind. Thanks for the tip!
