This is precisely what the Evolve extension for hg does. There are
other ways to do this with hg currently, but they're not as
convenient. Evolve is like 90% ready for use, and by the time Sage can
fix its build system, I am confident that Evolve can fully replace MQ
usage, as I advertised in the main Sage devel list:

Bitbucket is also quite featureful today, although not quite up to
speed compared to Github.
