After the sys admin installed Sage in one computer, he "discovered" that SAGE starts a server. Soon after, this was labeled as a "security risk" and SAGE was removed from every computer in the lab.
Sage on Windows is application on VirtualBox. Admin can just configure the virtual machine to have right kind of network setup -- that is, not to have bridged network. (Was it "host only networking"?)
But then, why not have real Sage server on network? It could handle backupping, people could share worksheets etc.
