Building is one thing. Using the package is another!
I can't imagine a mesa (OpenGL) install under linux without glxinfo, but
...
So I think glxinfo -h is a good test.
If not available, we suggest installation of all mesa.
In Fedora: sudo yum install "mesa*"
Testing the libraries is not enough!
