Ok, i will try to wee if swtiching from parentwithgens to parents is not
too painful.
I remember i tried different ways of inheritingt, and finally decided
this one, but i don't remember exactly why.
What do you mean exactly by overrode _cmp_? isn't that what i do already?
I have no ither patches that deppend on this, but i was just planning to
start with something to give support to the kbmag gap package, which would
allow to deal with reduced forms of the elements of finitely presented
groups (when Knuth-Bendix or the search for automatic structure succeeds).
