By the way, what is the ultimate aim of this ticket? Replacing Singular's
memory management by malloc makes Singular very slow, if I understand
correctly. So, the aim is to provide a tool to investigate flaws in Sage-
Singular interrelation, right?
So, could one say that the aim is to provide an optional package?
