I've upped a new spkg.
It includes the fix mentioned above and I updated the patches in a minimal
way in order to minimize mercurial history.
I've also added a commit and a tag for 2.5.2.p0 spkg.
I've asked about the quoting stuff on mpir-devel and it should get
integrated upstream at some point.
