I do mind change of quotes for no reason, just as fiddling with
whitespace. I had an impression that emacs was the most configurable and
smart editor ever, so certainly it can understand what is comment and what
is not. Anyway, the patch on top of others removes unnecessary iterators
and adjusts the flow of documentation comments that dealt with the old
behaviour.
