Comment:
We only introduced a codependence on #12313 because of comment
[comment:133]. In view of comment [comment:141] I suspect the source of
the problem noted in comment [comment:131] was actually solved, rather
than hidden by merging tickets together.
Hence, I propose that this ticket is considered without dependencies and
be considered for merging in sage-5.7 anyway.
