Both `spkg-install` scripts are pretty messy and certainly need work.
I'll see if I find the time to fix them (presumably rewriting them from
scratch... ;-) ).
The Mercurial repository of ff_poly's spkg contains traces of files in
`src/`; looks like `.hgignore` had been created too late.
