Another remark:
Although the `spkg-install` scripts currently do not use this target,
`make install` uses `cp -v ...` in both Makefiles, which isn't portable
either.
(And while !SmallJacs's `make all` also builds four executables, its `make
install` only installs the library and header files. `install` still
depends on `all`.)
