 Just look at the current situation: there is a patch to add a zero in a
 structure. What does my patch do? It calls a function to add a zero in a
 structure. No doctest will be able to say whether the zero was obtained by
 patching or by calling a function -- but for distribution packagers, that
 makes all the difference, since there's no way they'll just patch upstream
 just for sage.

 Even if I convince you, don't close or apply the changes: I'm working on a
 better set of modifications to also get rid of the disabled threading
 stuff.
