Comment:

 Since the topic of this ticket is "hash and equality for graphs" and since
 we now have a way (by saying `data_structure="static_sparse"` when
 creating the graph) to produce immutable hashable graphs that evaluate
 equal to the corresponding mutable graphs, I'd say we should postpone the
 improvement of error messages. Hence: Needs review.
