Ahahah! There is yet another level of indirection!
Namely, I found that the redundant calls to
`base_category_class_and_axiom` happens because of
`axiom_of_nested_class`. It starts with this:

#!python
if hasattr(nested_cls, "_base_category_class_and_axiom"):
axiom = nested_cls._base_category_class_and_axiom[1]
}}}
I guess it is wrong to do `hasattr` here, since this triggers the
(re!)computation of the lazy class attribute. What we should do instead is
to look up `nested_cls.__dict__`!!
