How is one supposed to review this, then? In the good old mercurial
workflow, I would take the patches, apply them to a slightly older beta
version (before #15512 got merged), and test. But in the git workflow,
this would only be possible be rebasing, which changes history (for some
notion of history) and is supposed to be bad.
Or what else can we do? Wait for #15636? Why is #15636 not a blocker?
After all, the current beta hangs.
