I didn't run `make ptest` with the "pure" develop branch. But with the
branch that is currently attached to this ticket, I get several timeouts.
As stated in comment:291, without merging develop into the branch of this
ticket, it is quite slow (22 seconds to translate an integral into ascii
art), but terminates.
And with the pure develop branch, it hangs in the sense of "I lost
patience after a couple of minutes". to be precise:

CPU times: user 2.12 s, sys: 0.10 s, total: 2.22 s
Wall time: 3.53 s
integrate(e^(x^2 + x)/(x + 1), x)
