 It didn't work for me, but I prepared a new patch.  This incorporates all
 of the earlier changes, plus just a little more: boothby's patch turned
 off the sphinx messages, and mine turns off all of the other messages
 (about the location of the introspection cache, for example).  It provides
 a bad way to turn those messages back on, because I couldn't figure out a
 better way, despite trying for quite a while -- see the docstring for
 {{{set_instrospect_html}}}.

 To produce the patch, here's what I did:

  1. imported the old patch "docstring.4.patch".

  2. used "hg rollback" to uncommit the changes

  3. performed the changes in your patch file (by hand, basically)

  4. "hg commit"

 This produced an all-in-one patch.
